Acute Myocardial Infarction in Young Patients and its Correlation with Obesity Status at Pre-adolescent Stage: A Narrative Review

Background: Cardiovascular diseases (CVD), especially acute myocardial infarction (AMI), remain a worldwide major cause of premature morbidity and mortality, with considerable health care costs. Metabolic, behavioural, environmental, social risk factors are significant drivers AMI, obesity being key determinant among them. Childhood constitutes threat that is considered global epidemic the 21st century. Objective: To assess whether excess weight from first years life acts as predisposing factor in increasing AMI young adults. Methods: This narrative review evidence concerning epidemiology early obesity, using PubMed Google Scholar. Results: There substantial showing during childhood multiplies at an age. Conclusion: Premature seems to have related lifestyle factors, such obesity. In era epidemic, aforementioned relationship underlines need for prevention management.
